A group of university faculty and current and former high school teachers met at a hybrid meeting hosted by Texas State University in San Marcos, TX on May 22-23, 2022 to discuss the issues facing physics teacher preparation in Texas. These topics included teacher certification exams and alternatives, working with two-year colleges, meeting the needs of rural and urban schools, and the alternative certification process. Representatives from Texas A&M University-Commerce, the University of Houston, the University of Texas at Dallas, Texas State University, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Rockwall ISD attended.
